About the Weekly Timetable Planner & Schedule Optimizer

Our completely free online timetable planner helps you manage your weekly study sessions, work shifts, class timings, and personal routines efficiently. Built as a privacy-first alternative to MyStudyLife and Canva timetable templates, all data is securely saved directly in your browser's local storage.

Conflict Detection

Automatically flags overlapping events on your schedule to ensure zero time block clashes.

Privacy First

Runs entirely client-side. No signups or databases; your schedules are saved securely in localStorage.

Outlook & Google Sync

Export your full schedule to standard iCal files compatible with Outlook, Apple Calendar, and Google.

How to Use the Free Timetable Planner

1

Add your classes or work shifts

Click on any empty time block in the weekly planner grid to create a new event. Specify the subject, category, location, and recurrences.

2

Integrate your assignments and tasks

List your tasks in the sidebar backlog. Use the quick schedule trigger to fit tasks into vacant hours in your weekly view.

3

Audit and optimize your time blocks

Look at the Week Analytics panel. It automatically counts total study hours, flags scheduling overlaps, and alerts you if you block too many contiguous hours without breaks.

4

Export to Google Calendar or print

Download your schedule as an iCal (.ics) file to sync with Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, or Outlook, or use the print layout to generate a print-ready A4 PDF.

How to import your timetable into Google Calendar or Outlook

The Outlook / iCal export creates a standard schedule.ics file. Your recurring events start from the next full weekly schedule, so check the imported start week after importing. If you test multiple times, use a separate calendar to avoid duplicate events.

Google Calendar

  1. Click Outlook / iCal in the planner.
  2. Open Google Calendar on the web or app.
  3. Go to Settings, then Import & export.
  4. Select the downloaded schedule.ics file.
  5. Choose the calendar you want to import into.
  6. Click Import.
  7. Open Week view and check the imported start week.

Outlook Calendar

  1. Click Outlook / iCal in the planner.
  2. Open the Calendar view in Outlook web or app.
  3. In the left sidebar, click Add calendar.
  4. Choose Upload from file.
  5. Click Browse and select your schedule.ics.
  6. Choose which calendar to import into.
  7. Click Import, then open Week view.

Maximize Your Weekly Focus: The Power of Time Blocking

Time blocking is a productivity method where you divide your day into distinct blocks of time, each dedicated to a specific task or group of tasks. Unlike a generic to-do list, time blocking forces you to commit to when and where you will execute each task, dramatically increasing focus and accountability.

Reactive Scheduling (No Time Blocks)

  • Constantly deciding what to do next leads to decision fatigue.
  • Task-switching and distractions decrease productivity by up to 40%.
  • Schedule conflicts and over-commitments go unnoticed until too late.

Intentional Time Blocking (With Our Planner)

  • Pre-allocated time blocks ensure your highest priorities get done first.
  • Visual daily structure creates momentum and minimizes distractions.
  • Built-in scheduler audits work-to-rest ratios to prevent burnout.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is this tool different from Canva timetable templates?
Unlike static Canva schedule templates which must be manually edited as plain graphics, this Timetable Planner is interactive. It highlights schedule conflicts, counts weekly study hours, alerts you when you lack breaks, and exports your schedule into standard calendar applications (Google Calendar, Outlook) using iCal files.
How does it compare to MyStudyLife?
MyStudyLife requires you to register for an account, syncs to their database, and has locked various tracking features behind paywalls. Our Weekly Timetable Planner is 100% free, runs completely client-side (no account needed), keeps all data in your private local browser storage, and allows instant iCal and PDF print export.
Is my timetable data saved securely?
Yes. Your schedule profiles and task lists are saved in your local web browser's localStorage. No data is uploaded to a remote server. You can also export your schedule profile as a JSON file to transfer it to other devices or create manual backups.
How do I import this timetable into Google Calendar?
Click the 'Outlook / iCal' button to download schedule.ics. Open Google Calendar on the web or app, go to Settings > Import & export, select the downloaded file, choose the calendar you want to import into, click Import, then open Week view and check the imported start week.
Can I use this timetable planner offline?
Yes! Because the application operates 100% in your local browser, once the page is loaded, you can add events, check tasks, and audit your weekly schedule even without an active internet connection.
Does it support recurring weekly schedules?
Yes, you can check multiple days when adding or editing a block. This creates a recurring weekly time block (e.g., every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) that syncs seamlessly with Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook.
How do I export my timetable to Microsoft Outlook?
Click the 'Outlook / iCal' button to download schedule.ics. Open Outlook Calendar on the web or app, click Add calendar, choose Upload from file, browse for schedule.ics, choose which calendar to import into, click Import, then open Week view and check the imported schedule.
